It is requisite that you read and accept the following user agreement (hereafter called the “Agreement”) before using the website www.usabcd.org (hereafter called the “Portal”). The Agreement is between you and USabcd A/S (hereafter called the “Company”).

By accessing and using the Portal, you warrant to the Company that you agree to all the terms and conditions of the Agreement. If you disagree to any of the terms and conditions of the Agreement, you may not access or use the Portal or any service or material provided by the Portal.

You agree that the Company can modify the Agreement at any time without prior notice, and that you are always bound by all such modifications.All content available on the Portal (hereafter called the “Materials”) are the property of the Company and/or third parties and are protected by Danish, EU and international copyright laws.

You agree that any kind of commercial exploitation of any Materials is prohibited without prior written consent from the Company.

You agree that you will not under any circumstances monitor or copy the Portal or any of its Materials.

The Company disclaims any responsibility for deletion, storage, or misdelivery of any information or Materials. The Company disclaims any responsibility for any harm resulting from accessing any information or material from sites linked to the Portal. The Company disclaims any responsibility for any service failure of any kind caused by the maintenance on the Company’s servers or the technology underlying the Portal or failures of any kind of the Companys service providers.

The Materials and the products and services sold via the Portal are sold and/or provided to you on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Any material that you obtain from the Portal is at your own discretion and risk. You will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data resulting from download of any material from the Portal or from any the Company’s partners.

The Company does not make any warranty that the Portal will meet your requirements, or that the Portal will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that the results that may be obtained from the use of the Portal will be accurate or reliable, or that the quality or integrity of any products, services, information, or other material that you obtain in any way from the Portal will meet your expectations, or be fit for the particular purpose for which you intend to use such products, services or information, or that this Portal, its servers, and any websites linked to the Portal are free of harmful components (for example but not limited to viruses), or that errors of any kind will be corrected.

Neither the Company nor any of its partners and/or collaborators make any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, warranties of title or non-infringement, with respect to the Portal, any content on the Portal, or any of the products or services sold through the Portal.

You agree that you will assume the entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Portal, the products and services sold through the Portal, and the accuracy or completeness of the content of the Portal.

You agree that any characteristics of the texts, images, animations and videos on the Portal may not appear accurately on your computer monitor.In no event shall the Company or any of its employees, partners or collaborators (herein called the “Company party” be liable for any damages of any kind related in any way to the Agreement even if the Company or the Company parties have been advised of the possibility of that kind of damages. These limitations and exclusions on liability apply under all circumstances to the extent such exclusions and limitations are not prohibited by law.If such limitations and exclusions are prohibited by law, your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of the Agreement cannot exceed the amount of fees you pay to the Company for your personal use of any content of the Portal in the 12 months prior to the action giving rise to liability.You agree to allow the Company to collect and use any personal information about you, including registration information and any other information you provide voluntarily or involuntarily.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any kind of liability, losses, and expenses incurred by any Company party in connection with any claim of any kind as a result of your use or connection to the Portal or any website linked to the Portal and/or your purchase or use of any product from the Portal and/or the content, quality or performance of content that you submit or transmit to or through this Portal and/or any use or alleged use of your account or your passwords by any person, whether or not known or authorized by you and/or your violation of the Agreement and/or your violation of the rights of any other person or entity.
The technology and software underlying the Portal and the services provided by the Company are the property of the Company.

You agree not to copy, modify, or in any way transfer any technology or software or the right to the technology or software underlying the Portal or the services provided by the Company.

You agree to grant an irrevocable exclusive license to use any intellectual property you post to or transmit through this Portal.

You agree that you will not use the Portal to violate the legal rights of others or distribute in any way unlawful content through or on the Portal or transmit files that contain viruses or software of any kind that may damage the operation of any other persons computer, the Portal or any electronic equipment or in any way interfere with the Portal or impersonate any person or entity or in any way misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity or in any way manipulate your presence on the Portal or take any action that imposes a disproportionately large load on the Portal infrastructure or engage in any illegal activities.

You acknowledge that the Company may terminate your limited license to use the Portal at any time for any reason, regardless of whether or not you engage in any of the activities listed above.You accept that information contained on the Portal may be inaccurate or incomplete in part or in whole. You also accept that you will not rely on any information contained on the Portal. You agree not to access the Portal by any means other than through the interface that is provided by the Company for use in accessing the Portal.

Nothing contained in the Agreement shall limit the Company’s right to comply with law enforcement requirements relating to your use of the Portal.

You agree that the Company is not responsible for any content associated with a third party site. You further agree that the Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage associated with your use of third party content.

The Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and you and the Company irrevocably consent to bring any action to enforce the Agreement before a court of competent jurisdiction in the city of Aarhus, Denmark.

The Agreement shall constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding your use of the Portal, superseding all prior agreements, whether oral or in writing, that you may have executed with the Company.

You may terminate the Agreement at any time provided you discontinue use or access to the Portal. You agree that in the event you terminate the Agreement, all your legal obligations as specified in the Agreement shall survive the termination.

If any part of the Agreement is determined to be invalid pursuant to applicable law, then the invalid provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in effect.

You agree that regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to use of the Portal or the Agreement must be filed within one year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred.

You agree that all identifying patient information must be removed from all material before submitting your content, and that all the material submitted must be original and not plagiarized or copyright protected, and that you grant the Company permission to publish the material submitted by you on the Portal.

Registration process:

E-learning access is granted from date of purchase and 6 months after unless otherwize specified in the course or E-learning description on the webpage. For courses the 6 month period starts from the date of the hands-on-training course.

Credit cards and online payment:

  • The following credit cards are accepted: Dankort, eDankort, Visa, MasterCard.
  • It is mandatory to specify the cardholder’s name, card number, expiry date and card verification cipher.
  • Your credit card company may charge a fee for handling the payment and the fee is fully determined by the credit card company. The credit card fee is paid by the registrant.
  • The receipt is the last step of the payment process. We recommend that you print out the receipt. You will also receive a receipt by e-mail.
  • All communication is encrypted (SSL) and goes through ePay directly to Nets. Read more about Nets on www.nets.dk and www.nets.dk/payments. No credit card data is saved at USabcd.

Cancellation policy:

  • The full course registration fee – with deduction of the e-learning price – will be refunded, if notice of cancellation is emailed to the USabcd secretary no later than 60 days prior to the date of the hands-on workshop. Alternatively, it is possible to transfer the registration to another workshop.
  • Between 60 and 15 calendar days before the day of the hands-on workshop, the registration fee is nonrefundable and 75% can be transferred to a later workshop (25% administration fee).
  • Within 14 calendar days of the hands-on workshop the registration fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable.
  • All cancellation/transfer requests must be received in writing – please send an email to [email protected].
  • If a workshop is rescheduled or cancelled, the registrant will be given a free choice between receiving a full refund or transfer of the registration fee to a future workshop/course/meeting within one year.
  • The course organizers are not responsible for any travel or lodging expenses or reimbursements.

Privacy:

Your personal data are stored in a password protected database. We use your personal data exclusively for communicating with you concerning your registration.

Your personal data will never be passed along to a third party.

According to the Danish law on personal data, you are always entitled to gain full insight into your personal data.
