This day covers a curriculum of advanced point of care ultrasound.

ADVANCED POINT OF CARE ULTRASOUND (POCUS) and SIMULATION
As ultrasound becomes more and more prevalent, it is critical for advanced practitioners to be able to utilize this tool to make clinical decisions in a rapid fashion. New this year, attendees will have the opportunity to learn advanced Point of Care Ultrasound techniques, including abdominal/FAST exam, airway ultrasonography, as well as analysis and quick diagnosis of a decompensating patient using the RUSH and BLUE protocols. The afternoon session will be devoted to simulation sessions using a state-of-the-art sim lab to review and practice skills learned.
Provide the attendees with advanced ultrasonographic needs for the acute care practitioner – abdominal/FAST, airway, RUSH/BLUE protocols.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Practitioners of all specialties facing acute patients, e.g. anesthesiologists, intensivists, emergency physicians, internists, surgeons, general practitioners.
Prior basic FATE course or cardiac ultrasonography is recommended. The course will consist of e-learning modules, hands on training sessions, and simulation.
