Description
During this focused cardiac ultrasound workshop you will learn how to gather and interpret basic echocardiographic findings and put them into the clinical context. The course is based on the FATE protocol which is easily and quickly learned. Most importantly, FATE can be applied in all clinical scenarios: perioperatively, pre- and inhospitally, in intensive care or emergency settings.
Workshop objective
The objective is to provide basic echocardiographic skills for physicians who are not specialists of cardiology in order to guide cardiac optimisation.
In the workshop you will learn about the following:
- Basic cardiac views including IVC
- M-Mode
- Right and left ventricle function
- Basic clinical scenario training
- Pleural scanning
Pre-workshop e-learning material
All USabcd courses are based on the concept of combined e-learning and hands-on training. This means that in order for you to make the most out of the hands-on training, all e-learning modules and the post-test must be completed prior to the workshop.
In the e-learning you will learn about equipment and skills, basic imaging views, M-mode (not FICE), cardiac function and pathology.
The e-learning is included in the course registration fee, and you will get permanent access to it in your account immediately after registering. Therefore, you can start your training now and always come back and revise if necessary.
