Learn to diagnose 9 life-threatening conditions using ultrasound
After this basic entry level Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) course you will be able to diagnose 9 life threatening conditions using emergency ultrasonography.
The course teaches you how to use an ultrasound transducer like you use your stethoscope. It is relevant for all physicians taking care of patients with potentially life-threatening and time-critical conditions.
The course represents a paradigm shift from protocolized ultrasonography because it applies specific parts of the systematic ultrasonography examinations to solve specific clinical issues. In other words, only the necessary examinations are performed, and these depend on you and the clinical questions you ask regarding your patient.
You do not have to stick to a specific protocol. Instead, you ask a focused question. If you can answer it with ultrasonography, pick up the ultrasound transducer. When you have answered the question, put down the transducer and take care of the patient.
