Erik Sloth, MD, PhD, is co-founder of USabcd and a professor of point-of-care ultrasound. He has authored 150 papers, mainly on hemodynamics and focused transthoracic echo. Dr. Sloth developed the FATE-protocol (Focus Assessed Transthoracic Echo) almost 30 years ago, recognizing him as the founder of point-of-care cardiac-pulmonary ultrasound.
